About

Hello. I’m Will.

Wander Knox started as a simple idea: to share the places that make Knoxville and East Tennessee such a great place to explore and live. After spending years working in real estate along the South Carolina coast, I returned to East Tennessee — a region I’ve known well after living in the Knoxville area for more than two decades. Coming back reminded me just how much there is to discover here.

Knoxville sits in a pretty special spot. Within a short drive you can find mountain trails, lakes, local coffee shops, great restaurants, bookstores, vintage stores, art galleries, and small pockets of the city that each have their own personality. Some places are well known, but many of the best ones are the kinds of spots you only find by wandering around a little.

That’s really what Wander Knox is about.

This site was created to give people — especially those who don’t live here yet — a feel for what it’s like to wander around Knoxville and the surrounding East Tennessee communities. It’s a place to highlight local coffee shops, trails and parks, vintage stores, bookstores, galleries, and restaurants that make the area interesting and worth exploring.

Think of it as a local guide built one stop at a time.
Wander Knox is sponsored by me, Will Tomb. In addition to running this site, I work as a licensed real estate agent based in Knoxville, helping buyers, sellers, and investors throughout East Tennessee. I’m also licensed in South Carolina and remain connected to the Grand Strand market for those considering homes along the coast.

While Wander Knox focuses on sharing local places and experiences, if you ever have questions about the Knoxville area, relocating to East Tennessee, or real estate opportunities here or along the South Carolina coast, you’re always welcome to reach out.

In the meantime, feel free to wander.
